RE: How do I set my Samsung Blackjack to silent without it vibrating?

I have a Samsung Blackjack and cannot figure out how to set the ringer and message alert to silent. At this point, I either have to leave it on vibrate or turn it off when it is inappropriate for it to ring. I do not have access to my manual right now b/c I am not where it is, or I would look it up. When I choose "silent" it continues to vibrate. Any suggestions? Is it possible?
