I think my Christmas tree may be alive?

Everyday I come home from school my Christmas tree (which is plastic/fake) seemed to have moved across the floor an inch or two.. Also, there are less and less ornaments on the tree every time I look at it. Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is my tree eating the ornaments and moving around? Help, I'm afraid my dog is going to be consumed next and then my little sister.. but I really only care about my dog. HELP!
