Are 2 guppies and 1 tetra do good together in a 5 gallon tank?

if your going to get two guppies, the best idea would be to get two of the same gender. i had two male and two female guppies once, and both the female guppies got pregnant and died because the male guppies hared them. when we went to the petstore and told them about this, they said to keep the male to female guppy ratio 2:1 because the male ones get quite aggressive. and neon tetras seem to do fine with any fish but the best idea would be to get either two or three neon tetras because they are schooling fish and tend to get pretty lonely. good luck with your new fish and i hope i helped!
