Could you be allowed to take natural plant drugs (shrooms, weed, etc) if it was part of your religion?

Not very good if it is breaking a law to do so. Laws are written so that all adhere to them. Violators usually get punished unless legal representation such as a very good highly paid attorney can convince a judge or jury otherwise.
