I heard that Atheism is a necessity in modern society? Because we have many major global problems? is that tru?

If the U.S. and the Middle East adopted a general attitude of atheism, we would have a more peaceful world. Well, there's still oil over there, so it would still be kind of screwed up, but at least we wouldn't have suicide bombers eager to meet Allah. That would be a step in the right direction, at leat.
