Question on radioactive decay!!plz help..?

You need to know what kind of radiation is being emitted as the isotope decays. In this case it is a Beta particle (aka an electron). Thus, we go from C, atomic number 6, atomic weight 14 to a new element with an atomic number 7 and a weight of 14, which is of course Nitrogen.
