CO signer filing bankruptcy..?

My cosigner for my student loans just recently informed me that she is filing bankruptcy?? My loans are deferred right now and my credit is not bad but I dont have any open credit outside of this loan for school? My loans are with salliemae. What steps should I take to make sure that her issue does not become mine. Is there a way to have her removed or will I be stuck. Please experienced answers only.
